My husband found a ball of this in our yard a few weeks ago, stuck it on a stick, and put it in a potted plant on the patio. I thought he had wound spanish moss into a ball--until I saw your picture. Our ball moss has "flowers" sticking out of it.
Yes, they do flower, and that looks pretty cool too.
unique ! i nvr see this kind of plant in my home town...
