My Hope For Our New President

I am touched by your post. I'm curious to know your thoughts on this. In his speech yesterday, Obama said that the important question is not whether government is big or small, but whether it is effective. That struck me as very relevant. After all, I am an independent, and it seems to me that both major political parties have completely missed that point over the past many years. Would love your thoughts. Thanks!
He has a clever way with words doesn't he. This is just his way of camoflauging the fact that he's a big proponent of a huge central socialist government. (Never mind that it won't work!) He doesn't believe for one minute that smaller government could EVER work...yet by his clever choice of words he wants us to believe that he actually "might". Baloney! You're right dM, both major political parties HAVE missed the boat, and each year they grow closer and closer to being one big coporate special interest group, lining their overstuffed pockets while they steal from the American taxpayer who struggles to put food on the table. There really is no difference between the two parties any more. Both are controlled by greed and power. That's why I support the grassroots Campaign for Liberty.

I'm' tired of being taxed to death, regulated to death, stolen from, cheated on and lied to. Something has GOT to change and We The People must be the ones to change it from the ground up. The fact is that NO amount of big government spending is going to save this country from the path of certain destruction that it's on. Big central government lines the pockets of the corporate elite who control it. That's it. This is NOT what our Founding Fathers envisioned.
